Please join the iCMLf/ESH meeting on CML, 22-25 Sept

Each year the iCMLf cosponsor an international CML meeting with the European School of Haematology (ESH). This meeting is entirely focused on the biology and treatment of CML.

In 2011 the 13th International Conference "Chronic Myeloid Leukemia - Biology and Therapy" will be held in Estoril Portugal from the 22-25 September 2011.

iCMLf meeting at ASH for physicians from emerging regions

At ASH 2011 in San Diego, the iCMLf in partnership with The Max Foundation will hold its annual forum on "CML Management in Emerging Regions & Update of the Virtual Education Program". This event will be held on Friday 9 Dec from 4-6pm nearby the convention centre. The event will be open to physicians from emerging regions and provides a networking forum and panel discussion with iCMLf Directors including John Goldman, Jorge Cortes, Jerry Radich, Andreas Hochhaus and Tim Hughes on the challenges and solutions for treating CML in Emerging Regions. At the meeting, the iCMLf will release the  2011 update of its "Virtual Education Program", which will bring new CML educational modules in Spanish, French & English. iCMLf-ESH Meeting in Washington DC: a patient's perspective

From 24-26 September 2010, the iCMLf-ESH conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) brought together around 400 CML experts from all across the world in Washington DC. Speakers and audience discussed the biological mechanisms of the disease and its treatment, and also about news from clinical trials with 3rd generation therapies.

ASH 2009 Recollection: a patient perspective

"Actually, why do I always spend the St Nicholas holiday in the US, instead of with my family", I asked myself when I boarded the plane to the USA on 4 Dec 2009, in anticipation of a long 16 hour trip to the USA, hiding for days in the dungeons of a large convention center. However, from a patient perspective, it was again worth it. Year by year, more than 20.000 hematologists and healthcare people attend the annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology. All top experts from the CML space are presenting their research here, competing for the hottest piece of news from clinical trials.
