Training was organised by the MAX Foundation and supported by Novartis Oncology, the iCMLf and other sponsors.

CML Africa enables collaboration, training and networking between leading CML researchers in the US and their African counterparts. The workshop was designed as a satellite session of the African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) conference. International delegates from 20 African countries attended the meeting, among them regional CML clinicians, local healthcare professionals and representatives of patient organizations.

This year’s CML Africa meeting provided information and training on the use of new tyrosine kinase inhibitors to improve the management of CML patients in Africa.
