    Meinolf Suttorp is Professor of Pediatrics and Head of the Division of Pediatric Hematolgy, Oncology, and Stem cell transplantation at Dresden University Childrens' Hospital in Dresden, Germany. Prof. Meinolf Suttorp obtained his academic degrees in Organic Chemistry from the University of Münster, Germany and in Human Medicine from the University of Kiel, Germany. He completed his clinical training during his residency in Pediatrics at the Pediatric Dept. of the Children's Hospital, University of Kiel. His research interests include the development of chimerism following allogeneic stem cell transplantation , strategies for optimisation of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) treatment in children, the molecular characterization of the chromosomal translocation t(9;22) as well as techniques for detection of minimal residual disease in childhood CML. Prof. Meinolf Suttorp is the chairman of ongoing national and international trials on treatment of CML in pediatrics . He is  active  member of multiple societies in the field of Hematology/Oncology (ASH, EBMT, GPOH, I-BFM).  He has authored or co-authored book chapters and numerous international peer-reviewed articles including Blood, Leukemia, Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Pediatric Blood & Cancer, Klinische Pädiatrie.
