Registration is underway for the ESH-iCMLf 28th Annual John Goldman Conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia: Biology and Therapy, taking place October 2–4, 2026, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Each year, this conference brings together the international CML community to share the latest advances in CML biology and treatment, exchange ideas and foster collaboration across the global CML network.
This year’s preliminary program is now available, and we are delighted to give you a first glimpse of the scientific sessions that will shape this year’s meeting.
And there is another conference tradition to look forward to: the John Goldman Fun Run. Join colleagues on Sunday, October 4 at 7:00 a.m. for a 5-km run or walk. It is a great way to start the final conference day together while supporting the work of the iCMLf.

A first look at the 2026 scientific program
Across three days, leading CML clinicians and researchers will present new and often unpublished data, with opportunities for discussion and interaction throughout the meeting.
Scientific sessions will explore:
- Top-scoring abstracts from 2026
- The CML microenvironment
- Immunology and stem cells
- Resistance and transformation
- New developments from clinical trials
- Treatment-free remission (TFR)
Another highlight is a debate asking: Are we too obsessed with achieving TFR, often to the detriment of the patient?
The program also includes the Tessa Holyoake Memorial Lecture, with Jane Apperley reflecting on 25 years of TKI therapy, and the Michele Baccarani Special Symposium, exploring the significance and assessment of MRD across different hematological disorders.
