    Tailored educational programs

Preceptorships combine practical experience such as out-patient clinics, hematology ward rounds, one-to-one tuition, seminars and discussion forums as well as laboratory work. The program will be tailored to the needs of the successful applicant with consideration to level of experience along with the challenges and the resources available at their home institution.

The iCMLf will select hematologists for the program whose attendance is expected to provide most benefit for the local CML community. Candidates should have a special interest in CML patient management, a certain patient load and be able to demonstrate their ability to apply and disseminate the knowledge gained from the program.

15 centres of excellence hosting preceptorships in 2020

Once selected, applicants will be matched with the most appropriate host site according to location, timing, language spoken and other individual needs. There are thirteen centres of excellence hosting preceptorships in 2019 including English, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish speaking centres. The specific hosting CML centres can be found in the Program brochure.
