🌟 Scientific Session: Stem Cells 🌟
Chair: Mary Scott (Glasgow)
This session explored new insights into leukemic stem cell biology, persistence, and the bone marrow microenvironment in CML. The speakers presented novel models and molecular mechanisms driving stem cell survival and relapse, highlighting inflammatory, metabolic, and stromal interactions shaping disease behaviour and treatment-free remission (TFR) potential.

Thank you to everyone who joined the 2025 John Goldman Run Run, held during the recent ESH-iCMLf 27th Annual John Goldman Conference on CML: Biology and Therapy in Estoril.
This year’s Run was a huge success!
More than 50 participants set off before sunrise for a 5-km run along the scenic seaside route, proudly wearing this year’s purple Fun Run charity t-shirts.
Together, we raised $2,900 – more funds than ever before – in support of the iCMLf programs that improve access to CML education and care in low- and middle-income countries.

This October, the CML community will come together in Estoril, Portugal for the ESH-iCMLf 27th Annual John Goldman Conference on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia: Biology and Therapy (October 10-12, 2025).
While the program is still being refined by the conference Chairs and Co-organizers, we wanted to give you a flavour of the exciting sessions you can look forward to.
