iCMLf-ESH Meeting 2011 – a record number of attendees

icmlf-eshThe International CML meeting, co-sponsored by the iCMLf and the European School of Heamatology (ESH), is one of the key scientific activities of the iCMLf each year. The program is configured under the guidance of three iCMLf Directors; John Goldman, Jorge Cortes and Tim Hughes. In 2011 the iCMLf-ESH International CML meeting, held in Estoril Portugal, welcomed a record number of participants. Over 460, physicians, scientists and researchers attended from around the globe. While the majority were Europeans, a record number of Americans attended this year. In total one in five attendees crossed the Atlantic to discuss the latest developments in CML.

iCMLf Forum 2011 at ASH: Physicians spotlight challenges of managing CML in emerging countries

icmlf-forum-ash-thumbDuring ASH 2011 in San Diego, the iCMLf in partnership with The Max Foundation has held its annual forum on "CML Management in Emerging Regions & Update of the Virtual Education Program". The event was attended by 90 physicians from emerging regions. It provided a valuable networking forum and panel discussion with iCMLf Directors including John Goldman, Jorge Cortes, Jerry Radich, Michele Baccarani, Andreas Hochhaus and Tim Hughes on the challenges and solutions for treating CML in emerging regions. The iCMLf also launched the 2011 update of its "Virtual Education Program", providing new CML educational modules in Spanish, French & English.

icmlf-eshEach year the iCMLf cosponsor an international CML meeting with the European School of Haematology (ESH). This meeting is entirely focused on the biology and treatment of CML.

In 2011 the 13th International Conference "Chronic Myeloid Leukemia - Biology and Therapy" will be held in Estoril Portugal from the 22-25 September 2011.

This event will be held on Friday 9 Dec from 4-6pm nearby the convention centre. The event will be open to physicians from emerging regions and provides a networking forum and panel discussion with iCMLf Directors including John Goldman, Jorge Cortes, Jerry Radich, Andreas Hochhaus and Tim Hughes on the challenges and solutions for treating CML in Emerging Regions. At the meeting, the iCMLf will release the  2011 update of its "Virtual Education Program", which will bring new CML educational modules in Spanish, French & English. iCMLf-ForumAt ASH 2012 in Atlanta, the iCMLf in partnership with The Max Foundation will hold its annual forum on "iCMLf Forum" for Physicians from Emerging Economic Regions". The forum is featuring practical innovations when resources are limited. This event will be held on Friday 7 Dec from 4:30-6:30pm at the Marriott Atlanta Downtown. The event will be open to physicians from emerging regions and provides a networking forum and panel discussion with iCMLf Directors including John Goldman, Tim Hughes, Jorge Cortes, Jerry Radich and Andreas Hochhaus. At the meeting, the iCMLf will release the  2011 update of its "Virtual Education Program", which will bring new CML educational modules. See the invitation here.
