Recognising excellence in CML - Celebrating the 2024 iCMLf prize recipients
March 2024 - We are delighted to announce the recipients of the 2024 iCMLf Prizes; Professor Neil P. Shah (Rowley Prize), Professor Jeff H Lipton (Goldman Prize), and Viji Venkatesh (iCMLf Prize).
Following numerous nominations received from the CML community, a panel of previous prize winners and the iCMLf Directors and Advisors has selected these individuals to acknowledge their exceptional contributions to advancing our understanding of CML biology and enhancing CML management.
All three are globally respected personalities and recognised experts in their field with a long professional and personal heritage in CML - as scientists, clinicians and patient advocates.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all prize recipients for their unwavering dedication, inspirational work, and tireless commitment to people living with CML.
Vale Professor Connie Eaves (1944 - 2024) - A Stem Cell Icon
March 2024 - With sadness we share the news of the death of Connie Eaves, a great friend, mentor and inspiration to those in the CML community.

Dr Connie Eaves made major contributions to the understanding of leukemia and breast cancer biology. Her pioneering research, including the identification of quiescent cancer stem cells, revolutionised cancer treatments and research methodologies worldwide.
International Womens Day
This International Women’s Day we’re taking a moment to acknowledge the many incredible women who are an unwavering force in the battle against CML. We proudly stand alongside the remarkable women who have dedicated their careers to advancing research, improving patient care, and raising awareness about CML.
Today we’re celebrating three of the amazing women we work with in Pakistan, China and Ghana as they tell us about their experiences as a woman working in CML, and their advice for other women in the field.
